    Great recipes, thanks ;-))

Given the chef likes to avoid GMO products, I though you might like to know that Canola oil is one of the worst culprits and definitely something to avoid if you don’t want gmo in your diet

    Flavia,

I just pinned this one, simply so I’d have the recipe when I go to the store tonight, and it’s been repinned a bunch! Yay!! Let’s get you out there, girl!

    Hi Flavia,

What is the nutrient breakdown per serving? It looks really simple and I like the carrot dressing idea as an alternative to sweet 😉

    • Flavia says:

You would have about 330 calories for the salmon in a 4oz portion. About 60-120 for the olive oil – (depending how much salad you have) making about 28 grams of fat, 400- 450 calories , give or take. Protein is 25 grams around.

Bottom line this is a really healthy meal so if you eat around 4 oz, you will be totally good!

    This recipe is GREAT, Flavia!

But won’t you PLEASE also include the instructions in print?! It’s much too difficult to be simultaneously typing out the instructions while watching the video!

    PLEASE??

    Hi Flavia!

I work in Agriculture and want to reiterate what Karen commented – there is a chemical company out there who was one of the first ever to invent GMO’s – and they did it with canola. They changed the structure of the canola plant and created a chemical that you can spray the crop with (to kill unwanted weeds, etc that would compete with the crop’s growth.) Anyway, the new spray will kill everything BUT the canola plant. Of course they patented both the seed and the spray, so you need to use them in conjunction with one another – twice the profit for them! They’ve done this with corn in the United States and as you probably know, there is a form of corn in all kinds of processed foods…..The trouble now is that those GMO plants are cross-breeding themselves with all kind of natural, unaltered plants and so soon, we will have absolutely nothing organic/natural left!!!

ANYWAY, I wanted to say that these recipes are GREAT! One suggestion though, would be to include the cooking instructions – I couldn’t catch the temperature or the time cooked in the video. Thanks.

    • Flavia says:

Thank you for that! Totally crazy isn’t it? I don’t use canola – EVER actually…thanks, I have changed that in the instructions.

Cooking temp is at 375 or 350 convection and for 15 minutes. Check after 15, you may need another 5 minutes depending on your oven.

  • Jabeen says:

    Hey Flavia,
will this recipe work just as well with chicken rather than salmon?

    Thank you 🙂

    • Anna says:

      Hey Jabeen,
Yes, I would think it would be very yummy with chicken as well! Let us know how it turns out if you try it 🙂
      All the best!
