HIGH PROTEIN DESSERT RECIPE

I used this recipe last night for dessert but it can also be used for post-workout nutrition as well. This recipe came from MetabolicMasterpiece.com. I believe it was to be eaten raw but I baked it to make sure my stomach wouldn’t hurt after.

Vince LOVED this recipe. As I was making it I thought of adding some shredded unsweetened coconut and even some dark chocolate chips to make it a really yummy dessert! I will do that next time we have company.

I said to Vince, “Our kids are going to do just fine. They can have healthy dessert like this instead of the TOXIC crap in the supermarkets”.

Make this for your family instead of the store bought dessert and START LIVING THE GOOD LIFE!

Enjoy!

This looks amazing Flavia. Can’t wait to try this recipe. Thank you for keeping us healthy.

  • TA says:

Hi Flavia, these look great. Are you continuing to use protein powder throughout your pregnancy? I am still breastfeeding my son and that has been something holding me back from getting the BioTrust powder.

    • Anna says:

      Hi TA,
I consulted Flavia and she said “Yes, I use BioTrust – this is the cleanest protein powder I know of! I know every
ingredient that they use, their facility, their chemists and everything about it :)”
      All the best!

    Hi Flavia,

These sound delicious! However, I don’t use protein powder because they whey really bothers my stomach. Do you have any reccomendations on a non-dairy protein powder?

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi Flavia,

I did your home-made protein bars last week and my husband and son enjoyed eating it.
Yet I don’t seem to be able to find almond butter in France … so I used plain butter instead but I know it is therefore more fat.
Can you tell me what are the properties of almond butter, so that I can try and find a substitute ?

    Thank you !
    Maryse

    • Anna says:

      HI Maryse,
Any other nut butter would work well. Coconut butter or even avocado might work well! (If using the avocado you may need to add more sweetener)
      All the best!

You could also trying making nut butter at home by making almond paste, there might be some methods on the internet (but they may be quite time consuming).

  • Bb says:

Do u have to cook the oats first?

  • Kelly says:

Have made these a couple of time now – really great1

  • K says:

These look awesome…wondering if you have any suggestions for substituting the greek yogurt? I have a lactose issue and the greek yogurt really bothers my stomach. However, maybe cooked it wouldn’t be a problem?!

    • Paula-Ann says:

I used coconut cream in place of the greek yoghurt as I have huge dairy intolerance – cannot have any dairy in any form no matter what! I use coconut cream with 1 tablespoon of either apple cider vinegar or lemon juice added – it gives a nice extra “sourness” to the coconut cream – I use it as a yoghurt alternative for all recipes that have yoghurt ingredients
