My little sister was babysitting Milia, and let’s just say she is PICKY when it comes to food….

.

I know she loves honey garlic chicken wings (ya, I know) so I figured I’d make a healthy version.

.

I looked in my fridge and had some chicken thighs thawed so I used them, whipped up a simple honey garlic sauce and viola!

.

Let me know what you think in the comments below 🙂

    How much chicken?

    • Flavia says:

I used 8 chicken breasts originally.. The second time I made this I used 6 and still used the same amount of sauce to make them even more saucy 🙂

  • Nataliya says:

What is coconut aminos? And where to get it ?

    • Flavia says:

You can buy coconut aminos at any health food store like Whole Foods.. Certain grocery stores will carry it but it may be in a random aisle.. Be sure to ask an employee there 🙂

  • Allyson says:

    Hi Nataliya

Coconut aminos is a coconut soy-free seasoning sauce like soy sauce only healthy.
In Canada I purchase mine from Naked Coconuts – I see stores are also stocking their products now.

  • Ursula says:

Whole Foods carries coconut aminos. In the same aisle as apple cider vinegar and liquid aminos

  • Ali says:

What is potato starch and where do I get it?

  • Gracie says:

Is there anything that I can substitute for the coconut aminos and the potato starch in this recipe?

    • Flavia says:

I use coconut aminos in replacement for soy sauce.. Technically you can use soy sauce but they are FILLED with salt..

You can also use corn starch instead of potato starch.. Potato starch is healthier and a lot of times corn starch is modified, but not always 🙂

  • Aleta says:

What can I substitute for the potato starch? My husband cannot have that. Cornstarch?

    • Flavia says:

You can use corn starch instead of potato starch.. Potato starch is healthier and a lot of times corn starch is modified, but not always 🙂

Can I use arrowroot instead of potato/corn starch?

    • Flavia says:

I’ve heard that you can sub arrowroot for potato starch.. I’ve personally never tried it.

Would love to hear how it goes 🙂

  • Mary says:

Made these tonight for dinner. Lucky I doubled the quantities – there are just enough for tomorrow’s lunch. Thanks Flavia for another great recipe to add to the cookbook!

  • cutismama says:

Hi Flavia, you list chicken breasts in the recipe but discussed chicken thighs in your narrative. Is the recipe pretty interchangeable with regards to the type of chicken you use? Thanks!
